Hi! I'm Mariana Minter, and I'm excited to be joining the team at Carnelian Art Gallery as a gallery and marketing Assistant! 

I've always been drawn to creative people and spaces that invite one to slow down and experience something new, so being part of a gallery that supports local artists and creative expression feels like the perfect place to be. 

I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and now reside in Madison as a fourth-year student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying international studies with a focus on culture in the age of globalization. 

I am also a dedicated executive board member of the creative collective on campus, The Issue, where I assist in organizing and producing our art, culture, and fashion magazine, as well as a fashion show showcasing student and local designers each year. I'm especially excited about working at the gallery because it aligns perfectly with what I hope to do in the future, whether that be becoming a global art consultant or conducting international art research.
