Hi! My name is Kalista Krause, and I’m a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying consumer behavior and marketplace studies with certificates in entrepreneurship and digital studies. I’m a Wisconsin local originally from Eau Claire, and I’m so excited to be joining the team at Carnelian Art Gallery.

Growing up, art was always my favorite class. I loved painting, drawing, collaging and really anything that allowed me to express my creativity. While college has kept me busy, I haven’t had many chances to fully explore this creative side of myself, which is why I was so drawn to Carnelian. 

I found this internship through my service learning course at UW-Madison, and it felt like the perfect opportunity to reconnect with art while contributing to my marketing and digital media skills.

In my free time, I enjoy going on long walks, practicing hot yoga, watching movies and spending time with my family and friends. I’m so excited to be here and to learn from the Carnelian Art Gallery community!
